haeun was born as the glaringly average and misunderstood middle child of a family consisting of a mother, a father, a son, and two daughters. while her beloved baby sister excelled in academics, and her older brother was a swimming prodigy, haeun was just.. haeun. average grades, no stand out talents, just exceedingly bare minimum.and she was semi content with this. sure, it got on her nerves to be compared to her golden siblings all the time, but she managed to be happy with the small amount of friends she did have.and then she turned sixteenit wasn't like a switch turning on, she didn't feel too different at first. it was only slowly that she noticed her faster speed, her increased strength and stamina, even any small cuts and bruises seemed to heal faster. it wasn't long after when she was approached by her high school's guidance counselor, han wonshik, who filled her in on her fate; she was a vampire slayer. not one amongst many like it previously had been, she was born a potential slayer amongst many other girls and activated once she came of age.proceeding to train under wonshik's watchful eye, everything seemed to fall into place for haeun; she took to combat and weapon training like she was destined for it, and it wasn't long until she was busan's most promising slayer, a golden girl of the slayer organization set up there. managing to keep it a secret from her family wasn't hard, since as far as they knew she was just participating in new after school activities, and her parents didn't seem to care too much about what she was up to.despite her family's lack of interest, haeun seemed to soar now that she'd found her footing, gaining more confidence, dressing better, looking after herself more, and eventually becoming one of her school's more popular students. it wasn't long until everything fell apart though, with a rogue vampire attack at her 18th birthday party resulting in the death of her beloved baby sister. to everyone else it just seemed like a freak accident, but haeun.. it felt too personal, too much like her fault.with wonshik's help, haeun managed to get into a university in seoul, and moved away quietly without telling her family where she was going. the slayer organization of seoul quickly took her under their wing, setting her up with a new watcher and a part time job in the library he supervises.

β½ π‘οΈ accepting her calling as a slayer at the age of 16, haeun has increased strength, speed, agility, and durability, alongside a mental link to the slayers line. due to her being a slayer for the length of time she has been, her ability to self heal has also been improved. alongside this, haeun has been trained in multiple forms of martial arts.β½ π‘οΈ currently works part time at a library in seoul under the eye of her watcher, who works as one of the head librarians.β½ π‘οΈ has a black cat named rory, who she adopted on a whim in late march 2025. she would honestly die for rory if prompted.β½ π‘οΈ constantly nursing minor injuries from her main occupation, and to the majority just appears to be incredibly clumsy. it's far from the truth, but haeun keeps the image up as it's easier to explain any mystery injuries as minor accidents.β½ π‘οΈ is one of seoulβs top slayers under the slayers organization despite her βclumsinessβ. this is mostly due to her dedication to working as a slayer, despite the fact that it resulted in her sister's death.
